5 Beginner Tips For Intermittent Fasting

1) Before you start fasting, be fat adapted from keto way of eating.

You will be less hungry during intermittent fasting (IF). In addition, this will help aid in weight loss due to decrease in insulin spikes.

2) Build up fasting times

Start at whatever fasting time window you can.  A 12 hour fasting window and 12 hour eating window is a great place to start.
Then aim for a 16/8, which is 16 hours of fasting and 8 hours of eating. **Autophagy starts here, so this is a great target to shot for if you are new.
Your next goal can be a 18/6, which is 18 hours of fasting and 6 hours of eating.

Try for 20/4 & then OMAD (one meal a day). OMAD is 24 hours of fasting with one meal a day for your eating window. **Excellent autophagy during 24 hour fasts.

3) Listen to your body

Your body is going to give you signals during fasting. Listen to them.

4) I had no idea that I would have increased energy during fasting. 

I thought I would be more legtharic and that has not been the case. I am so energized!

5) Put pink Himalayan salt under your tongue when you get hungry.

 Pink Himalayan salt has significantly reduced cravings and helped me go longer with my fasts.
