I wanted to make popsicles for my 2 year old, but was hesitant to give him the heavy sugar laden popiscles from the grocery store. This recipe is simple, quick and easy to make with much less sugar! These popsicles are also Paleo Popsicles with less sugar.
DIY Popsicle Recipe:
Ingredients:
Instructions:
-Wash the strawberries off and pat dry.
-Cut the strawberries into little pieces. (My two year old had fun sorting the pieces from the strawberry stem!)
-Put a small handful of the berries, half of your portion of unsweetened almond milk and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream into the blender.
-Mix the blender so the mixture is juice-like and there are not large chunks of strawberries.
-Keep adding strawberries to thicken the mixture, while blending the berries into liquid.
-I did this step twice. I added a little more and less of the unsweetened almond milk and heavy whipping cream to be able to pulp the fruit.
-Once you have a liquid mixture, pour into Ozera Popiscle Mold Bag using the provided funnel.
-Fill the bag up 2/3s of the way or it will overflow out.
-Seal the bag.
-Wipe off any liquid onto the bag.
-Once you have filled up all the bags from your mixture, put the liquid into the freezer for three hours.
-After the liquid is frozen, ENJOY!
