10 Tips On How I Lost 50 Lbs

I have lost 50 lbs & have another 50 lbs to lose.  Let me preface with everyone’s body is different. I encourage you to find what what is best for you. If you aren’t there yet for the WOE (way of eating) or certain choice, do what you feel comfortable with. One of the things that makes me nuts on social media is being a know-it-all…we don’t know it all and all of our bodies are different.

10 Tips On How I Lost 50 Lbs

1. I’ll give you grace & you give me grace.  I do what feels comfortable for where I am on the weight loss journey being 50 lbs down and 50 lbs left to go.  I will give you that same covering. I’m on Youtube & have a blog doesn’t mean I know your body at all. Do what is best for you.

2. I started my journey one baby step at a time….don’t ask me to run a marathon.  Literally, one foot forward is how I lost 50 lbs through laser focus and emotionally being present.

3. I calculate net carbs (carbs – fiber = net carbs). This is easiest for me.

4. I try to hoover around 20 net carbs. Am I perfect, no. But, 20 net carbs is what I shoot for each day.

5. I love keto for high fat, moderate protein & low carb.

6. My keto success for a meal/snack = veggie, meat & keto fat = how I lost & continue to loss weight.

7. I like sugar free products. However, if I ever have a weight loss stall it directly relates to too many SF products. And yes, I know they cause stomach challenges…thank you!

8. I have food baggage. I’m a rape survivor and survivor of being molested. Food has been a comfort since I was a little kid & formerly used as a way to soothe myself.  As an adult who wants to be healthy, I no longer chose to numb out.  This was the most important item in weight loss journey….take the food plan away….it was about facing past trauma & healing it.

9. The hardness & challenge of food prep, focusing on eating, keto flu, making keto choices, etc is easier than being 100 lbs overweight.

10. Every meal doesn’t have to be a Ruth’s Chris event.  Eating things I don’t always love is ok.

…and an extra bonus….I have lost 50 lbs through love & compassion…love & compassion…love & compassion. Beating myself up no longer works to drop lbs.  Thank you for being on my weight loss journey with me.
