How Long Does It Take To Get Into Ketosis? 

It takes 2-6 days to get into ketosis depending on your body. It takes 4-6 weeks to feel and receive the full benefits of ketosis. I recommend not starting intermittent fasting until you feel the full benefits of ketosis first.

You will know if you are in ketosis a few ways:

  1. Weight loss

 

  1. Stinky breath – whew! Stinky. It’s from higher levels of ketones.

 

  1. You are not as hungry – bye-bye appetite!

 

  1. Clarity – your brain functions better and you think more lucidly.

 

  1. Insomnia – for me this went away after a week or so. I now have much better sleep than I’ve had in decades!

 

  1. Increased energy – running and chasing a 2-year-old anyone? My energy goes way up when I’m in ketosis.
