A Day In The Life of Keto Diet and Intermittent Fasting

Early Morning:

I started fasting the night before, so I woke up on hour 18 of my fast. My son and I got ready for the day and headed out to our local strawberry patch to pick some fresh and natural berries! It was especially hot that morning, so I made sure to pack a lot of ice cold sparkling water to help me stay hydrated! Sparkling water also serves as a great appetite suppressant, which helped me avoid hunger through the morning.

Mid-Day:

After leaving the strawberry patch, we were off to the grocery store to grab some ingredients for our delicious Keto lunch! By this point in the day I was feeling the effects of my fasting, so I put a few flakes of my Maldon’s Sea Salt under my tongue to give me the electrolytes and boost I needed to make it through my 24 hour fast. I picked up some beef brisket burgers and mixed salad greens from the store, then headed home and fired up my grill.

Early Afternoon:

By this time, I had completed my 24 hour fast, so it was time to make my meal to break it. I started by seasoning up my burgers and throwing them on the grill. Next, I washed and chopped up some broccoli and my salad greens, then used my homemade vinegar/avocado oil salad dressing to top it off. Once the burgers were done, my son and I enjoyed our beautiful Keto meal.

Late Afternoon:

After enjoying our lunch and some quality time with my son, I began to meal prep a Keto fish dinner. First, I let my fish marinade for an hour, then baked it for about 10 minutes. I like to bake it in aluminum foil to avoid a smelly cleanup.

Keto Marinade:

  • 5 tablespoons of Avocado Oil (you can substitute with olive oil or butter if you don’t have any available)
  • 3 tablespoons of Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of Lime or Lemon Juice
  • Pinch of Pink Salt

Night:

Earlier in the day I received a product I had ordered in the mail, so I ended my day by putting my son to bed, then running downstairs to open my new package like a child on Christmas morning.
